Brenda LaRose, C.H.R.P., CMC, Partner Ms. LaRose brings over twenty-five years of experience leading executive search engagements across a broad range of industries and sectors and throughout most regions in Canada as well as internationally.
With strong knowledge of governance and business, Ms. LaRose brings expertise in working closely with Boards and executive teams to assess and identify strategies that will attract and retain the right leaders. She is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Directors Education Program. Ms. LaRose speaks regularly at national associations and conferences on topics related to best practices in executive and board search.
Prior to founding Higgins Executive Search in 1999, Ms. LaRose pioneered and developed a national diversity search practice with Manitoba’s largest search firm.
Higgins Executive Search is known for placing more Aboriginal and other diversity executives and board members than any other firm in Canada.
Ms. LaRose currently serves on the Boards of the Dreamcatcher Foundation, is a Trustee for the Seven Oaks Hospital Board in Winnipeg as well is a founding Board Member of the Canadian Aboriginal Human Resources Management Association.

Brock Higgins, Partner Mr. Higgins has focused on executive recruitment throughout his career and demonstrates a strong passion for business development, strategy and talent management.
Mr. Higgins joined Higgins Executive Search as an associate in 2006, and has held the position of Partner since 2010. Mr. Higgins has led numerous senior executive recruitment assignments for Chief Executive Officers, Presidents, Executive Directors, Chief Financial Officers, and Boards of Directors for start-ups, large to medium –sized businesses and public and private sector organizations. With experience over a broad range of sectors and industries, Mr. Higgins brings strong knowledge and skill of business strategies, governance and innovative executive recruitment practices. He has managed projects in post-secondary education, finance, health care, community economic development, gaming, natural resources, government, and not-for-profit.
Mr. Higgins holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a major in Human Resources from the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business and has served on the Board of Directors of the Canada Dance Festival since January 2011.

Deanne Cockell, Associate Ms. Deanne Cockell joined Higgins Executive Search as an Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cockell's experience has included executive search and recruitment, HR consulting, training and development, HR Technology and as a licensed general insurance broker. She has gained experience recruiting senior executives in positions such as Executive Directors, Financial Professionals, HR Directors, IT Professionals, Chief Executive Officers and Chief Operating Officers. Ms. Cockell has experience with recruitment projects in a variety of industries including the Federal Government, Department of Health Canada and First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Not-for-Profit Organizations, Academia, Insurance, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Engineering, Transportation and Agriculture.
Ms. Cockell is an active member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba and currently sits on their Excellence in Leadership Awards Steering Committee. She also sits on the Human Resource Board Committee for Special Olympics of Manitoba, and the Steering Committee for the Canadian Aboriginal Human Resource Management Association.
Ms. Cockell has completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree from the University of Manitoba and has obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (C.H.R.P.) designation. Ms. Cockell is certified in Discus Behavioural Profiling.

Kazia Paradis, Executive Assistant Ms. Kazia Paradis has joined Higgins Executive Search as an Executive Assistant. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Paradis' experience consists of 10 years in senior administrative roles in a variety of industries including Provincial Government, Not-for Profit organizations, manufacturing as well as the recruiting/job placement industry. Kazia has developed strong organizational and support skills, including the developing and implementing of standardized internal procedures, the creation of electronic forms and presentation templates ensuring a consistent and professional image.
Ms. Paradis has obtained a Career Circuit - Circuit Coach Certificate from Brandon University as well as numerous certificates in relation to Microsoft Office Programs from local training institutions.
