Brenda LaRose, C.H.R.P., CMC, Partner
Brenda is the managing partner of Higgins International, Inc. and has twenty-three (23) years of experience in executive search and recruitment. Originally from Winnipeg, Ms. LaRose has successfully worked in executive search and recruitment throughout Canada including some international search engagements. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, has a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation as well as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation.. Ms. LaRose is certified in behavioural interviewing and profiling. In addition, she is a Registered Professional Recruiter (R.P.R.) through the Institute of Professional Management and is Past Chair of the Aboriginal Economic Development Committee for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and Past Regional Director for the Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada and the Canadian Management Professionals Association.

Ms. LaRose serves on the Boards of the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, Inc. as Vice-Chair, the AnimikiiOzoson Child and Family Services as Treasurer, and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. Ms. LaRose is an active member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba and the Institute of Corporate Directors and possesses a certificate in Corporate Governance through the Rotman School of Business and the Institute of Corporate Directors - Corporate Governance College.

Stan Higgins, C.H.R.P., Partner
Stan joined Higgins International, Inc. in May 2005 as a Consultant. He has completed his Human Resource Management at the University of Manitoba and is a Registered Professional Recruiter (R.P.R.) through the Institute of Professional Management and has a Certified Human Resource Professional (C.H.R.P.) designation. Before joining the firm, Mr. Higgins was a Manager with the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre overseeing the Youth Cultural Programs department which included a team of up to forty staff and an annual operating budget of more than $1M.

Recently Stan was contracted by EDS Canada Inc., now an HP company as a Human Resource Generalist for Western Canada. During his six months at EDS, he was responsible for a wide range of Human Resource activities and worked closely with Western Canada's senior management and executive members.

Stan is an active member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba and previously sat on Canadian Heritage's Aboriginal Youth Advisory Committee with a mandate of recommending proposals for funding through the Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Centres Initiative. He is English/French bilingual.

Brock Higgins, Partner
Brock is now a Partner at Higgins International, Inc. and joined in early 2006 as an Associate. Brock earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba, Asper School of Business, majoring in Human Resources. He is certified in Discus behavioural profiling. As part of the Higgins team, Brock has led recruitment projects for Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors, Chief Financial Officers, Senior Human Resource Professionals, Municipality Operation and senior health care professionals. As a Human Resources Professional, Brock has worked in benefits consulting and in a management role with the hospitality sector. Brock is English/French bilingual.

Deanne Cockell, C.H.R.P.
Deanne has joined Higgins International Inc, as an Associate. She has completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with the University of Manitoba and has obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (C.H.R.P.) designation. Prior to joining the firm, Deanne’s experience has included executive search and recruitment, HR consulting, training and development, and HR Technology. She has gained experience recruiting senior executives in positions such as Executive Directors, Financial Professionals, HR Directors, IT Professionals, Chief Executive Officers and Chief Operating Officers. Deanne has experience in a variety of areas including the Federal Government with the Department of Health Canada and First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Not-for-Profit Organizations, Insurance, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Engineering, Transportation and Agriculture. Deanne is also certified on and brings a great deal of expertise in the area of Discus Behavioural profiling.

Deanne is an active member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba, and sits on their steering committee for the bi-annual provincial conference. Deanne also sits on the HR Committee for Special Olympics of Manitoba.
